PRODUCTION  IN  MAJOR  REFINERY  SECTION

DISTILLATION

Distillation  is  the  fundamental  process  for   the  preliminary  separation of   various  fractions of  crude  oil.  This  unit  comprises  two  major  sections :

1-  Atmosheric  section  that  distills  crude  oil  to  obtain gas, LPG, light  Straight  Run  Gasoline  (LSRG), Heavy  Straight  Run  Gaso, line  (HSRG) , naphtha, Kerosene , Gas  oil  and reduced crude.

2- Vacuum  section  that  separates  the heavy  ends  of  reduced  crude  under  vacuum  into  light  and  Heavy  Vacuum  Gas  Oil , Asphalt  and  Slop  wax.
